+ The goal of this institution was to establish a cultural infrastructure for Downtown Chicago, one that can emerge from corporate culture and tourism, and take on an entirely new identity- that of youth. A school in Downtown Chicago will have the effect of leaving young people with fond memories of place, and a sense of regional loyalty over time.

+ Due to the tapered & twisting form of the skyscraper, different floors are different sizes throughout the skyscraper. The twisting and tapered form helps facilitate lateral drift to offset wind load, a factor relevant to Chicago's geography.
